Draft Reserve Study Guidelines for Public Comment

The Common Interest Community Board wants to hear from you!

As a result of legislation enacted during the 2019 Session of the General Assembly (HB 2030 and SB 1538), the Common Interest Community Board (“Board”) is directed to “. . . develop guidelines for the development of reserve studies for capital components, including a list of capital components that should be addressed in a reserve study.”

At its meeting on March 14, 2019, the Board authorized the formation of a committee comprised of subject matter experts and board members to develop the guidelines in accordance with the General Assembly’s directive. On June 20, 2019, the Common Interest Community Board Reserve Study Guidelines Committee (“Committee”) met to review and consider proposed draft guidelines. The Committee voted to adopt draft guidelines and make the draft guidelines available for review and public comment.

The proposed draft guidelines, along with any public comments received, will be reviewed by the Board at its next meeting on September 5, 2019.
