BOARD FOR CONTRACTORS
The Board for Contractors was established in 1938 to regulate businesses that construct or improve facilities on property owned by others. The board is composed of seven licensed contractors, three tradesman, one building official, and two citizen members. Each member is appointed by the governor for a four-year term and may not serve more than two consecutive terms. The board meets a minimum of four times a year. The board was expanded to 13 members to provide representation for the Tradesman Licensure Program.
The effective date of the regulations is February 1, 2006.
