This presentation provides general information about the mission, vision, and values of the Agency. It also provides a broad overview of the Agency's central role and that of its occupational and professional boards. This talk is suited for a variety of audiences.
How to Select a . . . Look before you leap
Before selecting a contractor, real estate agent or one of our other licensed professions you may want to hear this presentation. This talk provides you with practical advice and questions that everyone should ask before engaging one of our licensees. The talk however, will not make specific recommendations about an individual or a firm. The principal audience groups for this talk are citizen groups and community organizations.
Job Skills . . . Careers around the Commonwealth
Uncertain about which profession is right for you? Then, this talk is just for you. This discussion goes into detail about the occupations and professions regulated by the Department. It provides you with information about the educational and experience requirements needed to enter the profession as well as the employment outlook and salary levels. This discussion is prepared for high school and college students interested in one of our regulated professions.
Exams . . . Ensuring Public Confidence
This discussion provides information regarding the examination process, which occupations and professions require an exam, the types of exams administered, what the exam tests for, how can you avoid the angst and where can you get more information about it? This talk is developed with the potential applicant in mind who may be seeking to enter the profession.

Every day some of Virginia´s citizens are harmed through the improper and dishonest actions of a few unlicensed individuals. This presentation provides information about current scams occurring in the state. It offers practical advice to the consumer on how to avoid these traps.
Fair Housing . . . Your rights and responsibilities under the law
This presentation educates consumers, housing providers, lenders, and others about their rights and responsibilities under Virginia and federal fair housing laws. It provides an overview of the history of the law and discusses the protected classes and prohibited acts. In addition, the presentation will discuss how to file your complaint.
