Fundamentals of Surveying (FS)

Congratulations!  You received a passing score* on the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examination.

You may now apply for the Survey-in-Training (SIT) designation by submitting the SIT Designations Application.  Please refer to the Board Regulations for information concerning licensing qualifications for Land Surveyors.

Pursuant to 18VAC10-20-300, applicants who graduate from or were enrolled in a surveying or surveying technology program must provide degree verification prior to receiving the SIT designation, even after passing the FS exam.  Therefore, if you have not verified your degree (using this form), the SIT designation will not be granted and your score will not be verified to any other licensing jurisdiction or place of employment. All other applicants receive the SIT designation up approval of the SIT Designation Application.
