Professional Engineering (PE)

Congratulations!  You received a passing score* on the Professional Engineering (PE) examination. 

Provided you returned the Examination on Regulations emailed to you upon receipt of your application, your official license – which includes your license number in the upper right corner – will be sent to you via regular mail.  In approximately 30 days, you may expect to receive a wall certificate suitable for framing.

Pursuant to §54.1-411 of the Code of Virginia and Board Regulations, any professional corporation, professional limited liability company, or other business entity offering or rendering the practice of engineering must be registered with the Board.  Only sole proprietorships that do not employ other individuals required to be licensed are exempt from this registration requirement.  Business registration applications are available on the Board’s webpage under the Forms and Applications tab.
