DPOR Online License Services

StartEnter DPOR's Online Services Portal using your unique, secure User ID and password. We have upgraded our online services to include new license (initial) applications, renewals of existing licenses, reinstatement of expired licenses, upgrades to licenses, address changes, and other maintenance of a license. However, not all services are available online. Each board and license has specific types of services available. Before registering, refer to the list of online services available by profession below for a complete list of online services.

Payments through online services must be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express.

Don't have or remember your User ID or password? You can register and update your personal profile from the login page.

Services Available by License Type

  1. Choose the type of license from the list below. If a particular license type or board is not listed, that regulatory program does not offer any online services at this time.
  2. You will be redirected to the main Board page for that license type.
  3. Scroll down to the “Online Services” tab on the Board page, which lists the transactions currently offered for that board’s programs. Not all services are available for every board and license type. 

Please check back periodically as we continue to modify available services. 

MyVirginia

MyVirginia, powered by PayIt, is a third-party provider that offers a quick and easy way to request certification of an individual or business license issued by DPOR. Visit myvirginia.dpor.virginia.gov to submit a request online in just a few minutes. Starting January 1, 2025, the fee for licensure certification requests will increase from $25 to $40 for up to two copies. 

Enrolling in Merit to Receive Your Digital License  

Online credentialing service Merit, a third-party provider, issues licenses and certificates in digital format. Digital credentials work the same way as your traditional paper license but offer fast verification and 24/7 accessibility. 

Accepting your digital license from Merit is optional. You will still receive regular mail from DPOR as usual, including your paper license upon renewal.
