RICHMOND – The Board for Barbers and Cosmetology revoked 20 licenses at its meeting Monday, July 12, 2021. Following is a summary of the Board’s actions.
Fundamentals of Surveying (FS)
Unfortunately, you failed to achieve a passing score* on the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examination.
If you wish to re-take the PE exam, you must register directly with the NCEES at 800-250-3196 or www.ncees.org to schedule. Only candidates previously approved by the Board are eligible to register. Additional exam information, registration deadlines, and schedules are available under the Education & Exam tab on the Board webpage.
Fundamentals of Surveying (FS)
Congratulations! You received a passing score* on the Fundamentals of Surveying (FS) examination.
You may now apply for the Survey-in-Training (SIT) designation by submitting the SIT Designations Application. Please refer to the Board Regulations for information concerning licensing qualifications for Land Surveyors.
Structural Engineering (SE)
Unfortunately, you failed to achieve a passing score* on the Structural Engineering (SE) examination.

Congratulations! You received a passing score*on the Structural Engineering (SE) examination.
Provided you returned the Examination on Regulations emailed to you upon receipt of your application, your official license – which includes your licensed number in the upper right corner – will be sent to you via regular mail. In approximately 30 days, you may expect to receive a wall certificate suitable for framing.
