Contractor Transaction Recovery Fund

The Virginia Contractor Transaction Recovery Act provides relief to eligible consumers who have incurred losses through the improper or dishonest conduct of a licensed residential contractor. The Recovery Fund is supported entirely by assessments paid by licensed contractors, not by any tax revenues.

Common Interest Community Association Disclosures

As a result of the passage of Senate Bill 1222 and House Bill 2235 during the 2023 General Assembly Session, associations will see significant changes to the form for providing resale certificates/disclosure packets. These changes are effective July 1, 2023.
